FAQs

Why Snow Day Psychiatry?

A Snow Day is a break from the normal and a chance to do something different. This is what I want for my patients. This is our opportunity.

Do you take Insurance?

Yes, the insurance tab will explain more. Even if your insurance is not accepted at this time, you may be able to get most of the cost returned through your out-of-network benefits.

I can text you?

Yes, the phone system I use allows for secure text messages to be received. The patient portal also has a secure message feature. One of the benefits of a private psychiatric provider is increased access and communication.

Is there a meaning behind the logo?

Snowflakes are unique and so is the brain. Our experiences make us unique and so the approach to treatment should also be unique.

Will my prescriptions still be covered on insurance?

Any prescriptions will be transmitted to a pharmacy of your choice just like any other prescription. Depending on your insurance plan, they will be covered as normal from any other prescriber. I can also work with you to find the cheapest cash-pay option for prescriptions as well.

What is Integrative Psychiatry?

Integrative Psychiatry is combining traditional evidence-based psychiatric practices with less traditional approaches. Think of it as Psychiatry PLUS. Medications can be helpful but so can nutrition, aromatherapy, mindfulness, digital therapeutics and other things! We can also focus on just medications, if that is what you want.

Is Integrative Psychiatry just Alternative Psychiatry?

No. I practice traditional psychiatry but with the added bonus of not focusing only on medications. There is no single approach to treatment and integrative psychiatry just means we can incorporate alternatives as much or as little as you want!
